Tiny Screen is a small OLED display with a resolution of 96 x 64 pixels and a colour depth of 16bits which gives you 65,536 different colours. The display measures just 0.96″ diagonally which I guess makes sense as to why they call it tiny!
The tiny screen is made by the same people that brought you the TinyDuino which was a hit on Kickstarter back in 2012 raising more than 10 times the original goal. The tiny screen interfaces to the TinyDuino by simply plugging it in. The pre-made Arduino library makes it nice and easy to get started with displaying videos, graphics, notifications and more.
The Tiny Screen can also interface with all sorts of other tiny shields to extend the capabilities of the device. You can make it into a smart watch that interfaces to your smartphone by bluetooth. You can interface it with the buttons shield and make the worlds smallest game device, wear it as smart jewellery or perhaps check out your system resources by interfacing by USB.
The Tiny Screen team have teamed up with code bender which makes writing and sharing your code nice and easy with it’s web based interface.
The Tiny Screen is available now and you can check out their Kickstarter campaign here:
