Connecting up a Pickit2/3 to a microcontroller
Heres how to connect up some 10F, 12F and 16F series microchips, I will add some 18F series soon
Heres the links on the picture:
For other PIC Microcontrollers, refer to the datasheet to identify the correct pin connections:
http://www.microchip.com/en_US/family/8bit/index.html
See also PICkit 2 User’s Guide:
http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/D ... 51553E.pdf
Some other notes, make sure that you have no components connected to the ICSPDAT and ICSPCLK Lines, has this can stop the pickit2/3 communicating to your microcontroller, especially if you are programming the microcontroller in circuit.

Very nice bitfogav!
Re: Connecting up a Pickit2/3 to a microcontroller
Heres an updated version, inc connecting up 40pin microchips.
If you would like to download this information for reference purposes then you can download my PDF I put together.

Thanks bifogav!

Any time you deviate from sequential consistency, you increase the complexity of the problem by orders of magnitude.

Re: Connecting up a Pickit2/3 to a microcontroller
Thanks for this awesome tutorial, helped me a lot in my project.
You should also check The Engineering Projects because they have posted a lot of Arduino Projects and PIC Mirocontroller Projects and have also designed many new Proteus Tutorials and C# Tutorial. I hope you guys are gonna like them.

@theenggprojects
Glad you found it useful..

If you don't know what Voltage your country is using, you shouldn't be doing electronics
