Hi guys, for awhile now one of my set of led's in my vehicle rear lamps have stopped working, so I thought I would instigate the problem and share what I found here, So I stripped out the pcb board from the rear lamp which included the strip of led's and tested the power and ground supply to the pcb (13volts) all good.
So looking closer at the pcb I found a simple circuit which included a regulator and a strip of led's in series, I tested the power output from the pcb regulator to the strip of led's all good and the ground was good, so I knew the regulator must be fine, I made up a simple led tester and tested each led individually in circuit and bingo! found one of the led not working, it was a dry solder joint, resoldered the led pin and repowered the pcb, all working

its abit hard to see the led's on the pictures but they go just below the top red lamp.
