Got to thinking of an easier way to mount all them LEDs rather than drill all them holes.

what about using hardware cloth?
For those who are not sure what hardware cloth is, its a wire mesh but in little squares. Like chicken wire but thicker wire and in squares.
STRETCH in a wooden frame then insert the LEDs
Might work??

Yes it says 23g galv. mesh
You could paint it first (after stretching onto a frame)

You would need to be careful that you don't short out the legs - other than that, it's a great idea!

How are you going to short out the leds if the legs are below the mesh.
The lip on the led should prevent poking it all the way in.
