I recently was watching a Quadcopter on Youtube that was using a Teensy (ATMEGA32U4 or AT90USB1286) processor and I'm wondering if the Pics have enough memory to do the same project or whether it is just a matter of more efficient coding.
I found this Quadcopter frame but this would be a two year or more project because everything I do is on a shoestring budget and I haven't finished what I want to do so I can only plan for the future but the price I saw online for a finished project was $250. I believe they also were using a Wii controller and I'm wondering why not just use a regular remote control.

The Wii connector is made by Solarbotics in Canada but it is also sold through Adafruit:

Re: Quadcopter
I certainly think that a nice 18f pic would be capable. perhaps an 18f4685
They are nice and cheap from microchip direct, you could even request a sample of one
