I want to buy a MCP4728 DAC after reading a detailed introduction article about this device, here's the link: MCP4728 datasheet. It doesn’t mention the alternatives of MCP4728. Then I found out that there is a MCP4725 at home. I wonder if MCP4725 is the alternatives of MCP4728. If it is, I don’t need to buy MCP4728.
Thank you!
MCP4728 DAC and MCP4725 interchangeable?

Re: MCP4728 DAC and MCP4725 interchangeable?
There are so many data converters on the market (probably thousands!) that it's hard for any one person to be familiar with even 1% of them. You'll probably have to just comb through the data sheets for these two, looking for differences, and you might want to just get them and experiment with them. Microchip makes at least the 4728. I like the I²C, although it will be too slow for some applications. The only 12-bit D/A I've used was the DAC1220 which seems to have been discontinued. IIRC, it was like the very fast DAC0808 (which has 150ns settling time), but 12 bits instead of 8.
