I found these quotes. Is it far fetched? Maybe not. We are going to have to do something to compete.
I would be surprised if every public school doesn’t have a required class in robotics mechatronics. You’ll have a return of wood shop, but it will be metal/robotics/electronics shop, and kids are going to have to learn sensors and technology.

Within the next 5 to 10 years, the Arduino will be used in every school to teach electronics and physical computing — that’s my prediction. There’s no going back.

I wouldn't be surprised if this does happen. Decades ago there were no computer classes in school but then computers became more mainstream and now we have all sorts of different computer classes in schools.
