I finally found some time to work on the table again I disconnected the board and nothing changed, so it's not using the crystal right now. So the new code already improved the screen without using the new crystal.

Oh wait the new code is not using the new oscillator. I'll check!

Lol I didn't even realised that the upgrade board with the crystal also works now, haha!

Cool! I uploaded the new code and the flickering is gone except during the pause moments when the game shows the score for every player, maybe the code there is not optimized?

I don't really notice any decrease in brightness actually, so that's a good thing.

Ok, I made the wires really short and placed everything together and connected the add-on board to his big brother. And no weird stuff is going on. I can still play the game and no change ofcourse. The magic will happen with the new code

Ok I made the board, but didn´t connect it yet! A small question about the schematic of bitfogav, why are there an `1´ and a ´2´ in the schematic?

Okay 15pf it is. Tomorrow I'll receive the crystal. The only hard part is solering it on the chip.

The add-on board shouldn´t take long :p I see that Brad mentions 15 pf and bitfogav 22pf. I have both so I can choose I ordered the crystal, so it will be here soon. Also ordered some heat shrinking tubing to make it pretty and safe.

The flickering is not horrible, but in real life in some parts you really notice it. In the video it looks perfect
